Jane's Party

Friday night was the first holiday party of the year. It was just three friends getting together to catch up and exchange ornaments, but it was a blast!
Jane (standing behind me) invited Shannon and I over to her house friday night for drinks and dinner. The three of us used to work together at Writers'. We were the crew up there and we rocked. I have missed seeing them like every day and was super happy to be together.

We talked about everything that was going on. And gossipped a little about our theatre friends. About shows we've seen and and those we've missed. It was great to find out that we are truly friends, not just co-workers.
Bonus was Jane's dog dingo. He's such a cutie and a great cuddler. I loved the way he would dounce around when he was going to get a treat or go out. What a character.
And of course a yummy dinner. Jane set a beautiful table and we ate our pizza and dinner in style. It made me realize that sometimes if you want to see friends, but don't have the energy to cook, ordering out can be just as yummy!
And of course we had our ornaments to exchange. We did it simply, just passed to the left.

And I think we each got the one perfect for us. Shannon recieved a beautiful handmade moon ornament from Jane.
I gave the starburst ornament (from the store, of course) to Jane. And Shannon brought the hand blown glass ornament that I am VERY pleased to have. And it looks beautiful on my tree.

So thanks to Jane for the wonderful evening and to Shannon for driving me out there. Oh and dingo for all the cuddles. What a cutie. (the dog, not me. although I do have a cute smile ; )
